A NOTE FROM THE DUDE

Back from the OAX show in Orlando Fla.  Had a great time seeing old friends, which is always fun.  Yet, many new acquaintances were made as well.  Painter/illustrator Dan Dos Santos, whom I knew nothing about, but couldn't have been more nice, as he starred away at the huge oil painting of my Superman on the Moon.  Met an English girl and some other one from the Prague.  It was great to see Mark Chiarello again, someone I'd always gotten off on a bad start with.  We almost seem to be as brothers, in a not so strange way.  Mark always needed help with his procrastination delays in never wanting to get started on his work, but over the years maybe I helped out in some small way by always haranguing him.  I wouldn't let him get away with his time-delaying ways.  Now he's doing a Batman/Joker story that looked positively excellent.  I always liked his watercolor work, mostly having to do with his love for baseball.  He even knew all the players when the Braves were in Milwaukee.  That's a first.
